We understand that circumstances sometimes make it impossible to keep a pet. Rehoming your German Shepherd can be a difficult and emotional decision, but prioritizing your dog’s welfare is a responsible and compassionate choice.

Our goal is to ensure that every GSD in our care is placed in a safe, stable, and loving home. To achieve this, we utilize a comprehensive, multi-step screening process for all potential adopters. This process helps ensure that each dog’s individual needs are met and that placements are successful and long-lasting.

Please note that we are a volunteer-run organization. We receive a high volume of surrender requests, and our ability to accept a dog depends on available foster space and resources at the time. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to accommodate as many dogs as possible.

*For legal and liability reasons, we cannot accept stray dogs or dogs who have any history of bites or aggression.

By completing this information, I declare that I am the legal owner/agent of the dog submitted. I have answered all questions above to the best of my ability. I understand that once I surrender my dog to the Greater Houston German Shepherd Dog Rescue, I relinquish all legal rights to said dog and to any information regarding the dog surrendered and their disposition.
