Waylon

Special Considerations for Adoption

We all try so hard to make a difference with the dogs we rescue so it’s really hard when there are issues beyond our control. On Friday the decision was made by the board to euthanize Waylon, who went to the bridge in the arms of his angel Mona. His foster Kari Arriaga contacted Mona with concerns so he wsa brought to Richmond Animal Hospital where he was diagnosed with Eosrophillic Myositis, a disease similar to lupus. The disease was advanced enough to affect his digestion system and was causing him great pain. Steroid can help but would not reverse the damage and do not cure the disease.

Many thanks to those who invested in Waylon emotionally – Mona, his angel of mercy, Kari, his wonderful foster who realized that something was not right, and Coral who pulled this boy to give him a chance at happiness.

Remember to give your own pets an extra measure of love today in honor of Waylon.
