Special Considerations for Adoption: *Xero has not been tested with small dogs, but his foster family thinks there is a strong possibility that he would be good with them.

Hey ya'll...I'm Xero (pronounced Zero).  I was adopted from GHGSDR as a puppy, and had a wonderful home where I lived for four years.  My family sadly couldn't take care of me any longer, so they tearfully returned me to the good folks here at GHGSDR where I started.  I have a new foster mom, and two canine foster brothers - both big boys.  I have a foster sister who is a cat and likes to swat me, so I just leave her alone.  I also have a human brother who is pretty cool, too.  Sometimes he takes me outside to see his friends, who are kids of all ages.  The little ones are just the right size to hug and kiss me.  I love to lay in the grass with them and let them pet me for days.....

I like to play with my canine foster brothers.  Tug of war and chase are my two favorite games.  I am not much for playing fetch.  My brothers always outrun me.  See, I was born with a bum hip.  Don't worry! I had a surgery done, but it didn't heal quite right, so now I have a slight limp.  It doesn't bother me, and it doesn't hurt at all.  I am just not the runner my foster brothers are.  While I love to go for a nice stroll with my mom in the evenings, I would not like to be out there jogging with my human brother.

My foster mom says that I am an awesome, smart dog and a wonderful guest.  I love my crate, and when Mom says, "kennel up," I go!  Even if I am right in the middle of playing and having fun, I run straight to my crate.  It is comfy and safe.  I know the commands "sit" and "shake," and I walk well on a leash.  I love to be near my foster mom, so I follow her all over.  I just want to be part of a family again.  Mom says I don't have to worry about that, because I am so handsome and so sweet that some lucky adopters will just fall in love with me.  If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application and put my name on it.  I look forward to meeting you!
