Sunshine

After a cold and wet winter, what could be better than some lovely sunshine? Sunshine lives up to her name - she's bright, happy and very full of fun. Sweet and affectionate, this girl would love to be someone's permanent vacation against the boring (but necessary) existence of work and chores. Sunny gets along well with large dogs, but her foster thinks she'd really like to be the queen and center of attention. She's house trained, and knows "sit." In a prior life, Sunny wasn't fed well, so her foster is teaching her how to more gently take food when offered. She is willing to learn anything, as long as positive rewards and kind words are included. She desperately wants to be loved and petted and told how cute she is, eyes shining and tail wagging in agreement.

She is crate trained but when her foster comes home, this girl can let everyone know its time to be released from the crate and be with the people she loves. In time, her confidence will allow her to just relax and wait for the crate door to open and when she's older, there's no reason why she would need to stay crated - but that's an earned privilege. As with all our dogs, we recommend basic training so that she learns her role in the home and the humans learn their role as leader. Sunshine is a true companion dog, wanting only to be loved, and waiting for her people to come find her.
