Saint

Saint is a beautiful two year old black and red GSD with a wonderful disposition. He’s always on the lookout for anything to eat, which makes training a breeze.

Saint’s foster parents are working on teaching him house rules.  He has learned to sit and wait for his dinner until released. He has also learned hand signals for “sit” and “down.” He is crate trained and house trained.

He loves his walks and he loves to go for car rides. The first week he was skeptical, but now he runs to the car and can’t wait to get in. Long car rides seem to be soothing for him.

His foster mom has a 9 year old granddaughter and they play beautifully together. She gave him some treats and then they were best buds. As with most GSDs, when they get over excited, may jump or become rambunctious, so he would need to be closely supervised around smaller children.

He has been out and about with plenty of adults and he is very well behaved. Saint goes for lots of walks. He walks nicely and doesn’t pull on the leash, unless there is a squirrel or another dog around. Saint hasn’t had much exposure to other dogs yet, however, he did meet the neighbor’s little dachshund and showed no aggression. He wanted to play.

Saint has a lot of energy, but settles down nicely after his walks or a game of fetch. He mostly just lies at his foster mom’s feet around the house. Saint is quite the sweet boy and can’t wait to find his forever family.
