Rodney

Hi. My name is Rodney.  Aren’t I handsome?  My foster mom says I am a wonderful dog, and she is right!  I’m not just a pretty face.  I have manners, I crate easily, sit when asked, and walk nicely on a leash.  I bonded very quickly with my foster mom and will do so with you.

There are no children, small dogs, or cats in my foster home; so I'm not able to say how I would interact with them.  I get along well now with my 60-lb Boxer-Bulldog sister, after a careful introduction and gradually increased time together.  At first, I wanted my foster mom all to myself and didn't want to share her.  Over time, I have improved and we now play well together.  However, I will need careful introductions and exposure in my new home as well.  I would also be perfectly happy as an only dog in a calm, adult household.  Like all German Shepherds, I will need someone with lots of time to spend with me, plenty of exercise, and ongoing training and practice.  I will reward your time and effort by being a beautiful, intelligent, loyal, and loving best friend.
