Polaris

Polaris is one of the sweetest, most affectionate dogs you could ever hope to meet. In fact, he is "off the charts" in those two categories. Polaris is a happy boy who enjoys life with a family. He is very smart, and already knows several commands. He loves to play Frisbee, and will gladly bring it back to you, especially if it earns him some petting time. Polaris loves a hip scratch or rub, and he knows exactly how to back up to you and wiggle his hips as if to say, "Right here, please!" When he is outside in the yard, he completely ignores the neighbors' three dogs, and totally focuses on his people.

His foster mom says that just as the family is training him, he is training them right back. He has already communicated how he likes things, and because he is such a sweetie, the family just can't help but spoil him with love and attention. When they are home, Polaris will happily stay by their side, but he is not clingy. He is house trained, and has no problem staying by himself all day when his foster family is away. In fact, he sometimes prefers a little "down time" without too much activity. His foster mom thinks he would do best with older children who understand that a dog may need some quiet time.
