Nuke

Hi! My name is Nuke, and as you can see, there is something different about me...I'm a long haired GSD. I have long "feathers" around my ears and on the backs of my legs. I have big, furry Hobbit feet, and a very fluffy tail. Believe it or not, coated GSDs like me actually shed less than most German Shepherd Dogs, because we are single coated. My foster mom thinks my dark, flowing coat makes me a knockout!

Can you believe a handsome guy like me was dumped at a shelter? I could have died in there! It was my lucky day when a nice lady from GHGSDR came and picked me up. She took me to the doctor's office, and they said I had heartworms. I got a couple of shots (ouch!), my foster mom kept me quiet for a few weeks so I could recover, and now those pesky heartworms are gone. I also got "tutored," whatever that means.

I'm healthy now, and I love to run and play with my foster brother and sister. I play bow, and then it's game on!  We run and play and bark...it's so much fun. Please throw the tennis ball for me...I really enjoy playing fetch! Mom says that watching me run is truly a thing of beauty. There is also another 4-footed creature here in my foster home. It's something strange called a cat. I was curious about her, but she hissed at me, so I just leave her alone.

Mom is training me to sit, and heel on command. She trains me with hot dog slices, and I love 'em. We are working on other commands, as well. If I come to live with you, you will need to continue with my training so I don't forget. Mom is very proud of me, because I haven't had one single accident in the house. I am also crate trained. I hop right into my crate, sit down, and then "wave" to you with my paw!
