Licorice

Licorice is the sweetest dog ever! She is a smaller sized dog and is pitch black. She simply loves people and tummy rubs. When Licorice first sees you, she immediately dives at your feet and goes tummy up. It is like she is an earth worm, and she will wiggle and wiggle under your feet until you bend over and rub her tummy. Once she gets her tummy rub, she is then ready to listen to whatever it is you might have to say. She is amazingly good at literally stopping you in your tracks, and not allowing you to take one step further until you pet that tummy, so for this reason she should go to a family that is fairly stable on their feet, or willing to stand still until she gets her tummy rub. She is very easy going and really just wants to hang out with her family. She strongly supports all police and emergency vehicles by standing still and just howling as they pass by. She will play fetch once. We are working to see if that is all she will do, or if she will do more once she gets to know us. She seems to ride very well in the car, but of course she is very curious about what is happening in the front seat, so she will climb over if allowed. She loves her food! Eating is perhaps her next favorite thing besides tummy rubs. While she seems to be just fine when laying around, she does have a high prey drive, and she can go from lounging nicely to chasing a squirrel/bunny/etc with no notice. She's fast, and Licorice can go from zero to sixty in an instant.  If you love sweet, charming dogs, and you are affectionate and enjoy petting your dog, beautiful Licorice just may be the one for you!
