Special Considerations for Adoption: Kerry has been diagnosed with elbow dysplasia.  She had surgery to improve her condition at the end of July and is still recuperating; however, it will never be perfect.  She will need to be on proactive treatment, such as joint supplements, for the rest of her life to ensure the best possible outcome.

Hi, my name is Kerry, and my foster mom says I am absolutely adorable!  I am a gorgeous, shiny black German Shepherd puppy, and I am just as beautiful on the inside as I am on the outside.  I hang out with my two GSD foster siblings, and the two cats who also live here.  I get along great with cats, although I wish I could run and play with them.  My foster mom says that never works out well, so I try to ignore them.  I am a very happy young girl.  I love to run and play with my foster GSD siblings.  I love to cuddle with my foster mom and watch TV.  I am as obedient and well behaved as any 6-month-old puppy can be.  I am house broken and crate trained, and I sleep quietly through the night like everyone else.  Now my foster mom says it's time for me to find a forever family of my very own.  However, I am really worried because I have been diagnosed with something called elbow dysplasia.  I recently had surgery to improve the condition, but it will never be perfect.  I am looking for a family that can accept me just as I am.  I need a family that can provide me with the love and care I need to give me the very best life possible. Just so you know, I can run and jump and play just like any puppy, but since I recently had surgery, it's best that I don't overdo it too much.  My foster mom always tells me that I am just so sweet and beautiful, inside and out.  She says we have to find a family who will love me just the way I am.  Every day, I wake up and run to the window to see if you are coming to get me.  Every day, I am hoping that today is the day that the door will open, and you will be standing there.  I will be the best little girl I can possibly be, and I know we will love each other forever.
