Special Considerations for Adoption: A family where someone is often home to continue the consistent house training.

Hi. My name is Glory, but my foster family calls me Curious Chloe.  They just made it up because I have to inspect everything.  I like it and I respond well to it.  I’m 6 months old, and ALL puppy.  I’m energetic, cuddly, and very playful.

I’m not sure where I came from, but it wasn’t a good place, so I think I’m pretty lucky to be where I am now.  My foster family is giving me so much love that I’m putting that past life behind me, and it’s great that I have a foster sister to play with.  I even get invited to the neighbor's house to play with their fur babies.  They are big and small, and we all get along, and it’s so much fun.  My foster mum says I can go to a home with large or small dogs, but she says I am a "no" for homes with cats.

I’m not quite house trained yet, but I’m getting better and better every day, so I know it’s only a matter of time.  My foster mum is playing all kinds of silly games with me to help me learn my manners, and when I understand what she says, I get delicious treats.  I’ve already learned sit, lay down, and will give you my paw if you ask.

I enjoy going on walks.  We go out first thing in the morning before it gets really hot, and sometimes late evening too, if it's cool enough.  I’m learning to behave on a lead, but there is so much good stuff to smell out there that I often get distracted.

I love squeaky toys, although I haven’t quite figured out what this yellow round thing is that gets thrown around in the garden for me to "go get it."

At night, after I’ve wrestled with my foster sister, I love to lay down and watch TV.  My foster mum’s lap is a comfy place for my head, and I will look at her longingly until she scratches my ears or rubs my belly.  I love belly rubs, it helps me relax.

I have my own comfy bed at night, but I’d rather cuddle with you in yours.  If that’s not ok, I will settle down in mine, but I really would rather be with you.

I know I still have so much to learn, but if you are willing to keep teaching me I know I will make you happy for a long time.
