Special Considerations for Adoption: *Emmie loves everyone, but her exuberant puppy play might be too rough for homes with young children or small dogs.

Hi! I'm Emmie's foster mom, and I'm looking forward to telling you all about this wonderful young girl. When Emmie first arrived at our home, she was scared, sad, and unsure. That quickly changed when she met our two large dogs. It did not take long for her to open up. When she first met our dogs, she was quick to stick up for herself. But she soon became comfortable around them and became a happy part of the pack. She gets along with both of my dogs by showing them affection every time they are together, whether playing inside or outside the house, or during our afternoon walks.

Emmie is housebroken and crate trained, and has not had an accident in the house. Every time we take her outside we tell her, "Emmie, go potty," and she does her business. We feed her in her crate and she also sleeps in her crate. Emmie enjoys cuddling with us and taking naps in bed, and she does just fine.

Emmie loves to play with our dogs, and she has learned her place in the pack. She loves to go for walks. She never barks at other dogs, but if she sees a squirrel she wants to chase it. When she first arrived we tried using a prong collar so she could walk comfortably along with our dogs during her walks. She quickly adjusted, and she does just fine now, walking cheerfully along with her canine siblings.

Emmie is a typical German Shepherd Dog. She is loyal and attentive, and will follow you around the house everywhere you go. She loves to show affection. She is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever been around. She loves spending time around her people whether just relaxing or in active play. While we eat dinner, she quietly lays down next to us while we finish our meal. She knows "sit," and does it very reliably. She is a very smart little pup!

My heart aches with the thought that she will be leaving. She is an incredible dog and will make some lucky family very happy. She is still a puppy, and like all puppies, she will need daily exercise and training. Emmie loves everyone, but she still plays rough, as a typical puppy does, so she should not go to a home with young children. She gets along fine with small dogs, but again, her play might be too active for their comfort.

Emmie is a wonderful girl who has been a joy to foster! We are looking for a terrific, forever home for this sweet, beautiful young girl.
