Altuve

Hey, Altuve here, named for the Astros dude, because I’m just that cool. Or you can can call me Al. Maybe you know the song? Either way, I’m pretty happy to be here. Actually I’m pretty happy most of the time. I love people, kids and other large dogs. I really like to cuddle on the couch too. I even ‘talk’ to my foster mom a lot, it’s fun for me! I’m just all around a pretty easy guy. My foster mom says I’m smart too, and then I tell her thank you, in doggie language which I’m not sure she understands, but I keep trying.

My vet says I have something called EPI and it’s an enzyme deficiency, which explains why I was so hungry and thin. But these awesome rescue people are figuring it out, and I’m so happy about that too! My foster mom is working it all out to find me the right food, and she tells me now that we know, I can be healthy and it won’t affect my lifespan. Which is great, because I can’t wait for a long life of walks and couch cuddling! And she has lots of good info for my new family, so I hope they find me soon!
