Hi there, I’m Winston! I’m a handsome 2-year-old German Shepherd with a sweet, easygoing personality, and I’m on the hunt for my forever home.

I’m the kind of dog who fits right into your life—whether that means outdoor adventures or relaxing at home together. One of my best talents? Matching your vibe. Feeling playful? I’ll bounce around like a big happy puppy. Ready to relax? I’ll be right there, calm and content by your side.

I love being outside—running, exploring, and especially splashing in the water (a pool would be a dream come true!). I’d thrive in a home where I can stretch my legs, go on adventures, and enjoy regular walks. Bonus: I’ve got great leash manners and am happy to walk at your pace without pulling.

Inside, I’m calm, well-mannered, and fully potty-trained. I currently have free roam in the house during the day while my foster dad works in his office, and I sleep peacefully on my mat in the bedroom at night. I’m not allowed on the furniture right now, but I’d happily become your cuddle buddy if invited. I’m new to crate training, but I’m catching on quickly—especially when treats and toys are part of the deal!

When I first came to the rescue, I was pretty underweight, but I’ve already gained over 10 pounds and am well on my way to becoming a big, healthy boy. I have a great appetite and take treats or food gently from your hand. I’ll admit, I’ve checked out the kitchen counters a time or two looking for snacks—but I’m learning my manners!

I’m a friendly, social guy who gets along well with other dogs and has had a blast on playdates with my German Shepherd buddies. I’m also perfectly happy hanging out in the backyard on my own, staying relaxed even when kids are playing, or dogs are barking next door. I haven’t met any cats yet, so we’d have to see how that goes.

Like most German Shepherds, I love being close to my people. Whether you’re heading out or staying in, I’ll want to be part of it. I’m an excellent car companion. I hop in happily, ride quietly, and wait patiently for the “okay” before jumping out. I used to rush through doors, but I’ve already learned to sit and wait until I’m given the “okay” to go inside or outside. I’m a quick learner and always eager to please!

If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will make you smile every day—whether you’re out exploring or just relaxing at home—I might just be your perfect match. I can’t wait to meet you!
