Violet

Violet is a curious, sweet, food driven pup. I mention food driven because it will be an excellent tool when training a new puppy with positive reinforcement.  She has used her nose and intelligence to locate the treat drawer and has learned a “sit”.  Violet has even learned how to ring a bell a the back door when she wants to go out!  She is a very fast learner.  Violet is a "golden sable" German Shepherd dog: Tan, brown and black with the tips of each toe appearing to be painted black :) 

She loves hanging out with her human foster family, and will even snuggle if the mood strikes her right.  She loves greeting her foster family with enthusiasm. Violet has learned to play with two bigger German Shepherd foster siblings.  She loves zoomie-ing around the backyard and even plays fetch!  She loves pulling a rope and having a ball thrown for her.

Violet is about 80% potty trained, most accidents are simply from excitement. She has been getting some leash and pack walking experience and does great job walking and not pulling uncontrollably.  Violet has done very well sleeping in her kennel at night.  She sleeps soundly through the night.  Violet can be left in the kennel for short periods of time without too much stress.  She will often times go into her kennel on her when she is ready to nap. Violet is shy, as with most puppies every experience is the first.  She takes about a week to open up and "bloom".  We would ask if an adopter is interested that if at all possible to view her at her foster family's home--this will allow the adopter to see her true self, without apprehension.  We can already tell she will grow to be a loyal and protective dog.
