Rodger

Howdy! I'm Rodger, and let me tell you, I'm a real head-turner with my striking black and tan coat and mesmerizing amber eyes. I'm a 2-year-old fellow, a bit on the slender side, but I'm getting all the good grub I need now that I'm in a loving foster home.

I absolutely adore running and playing, and I'm not picky about the size of my playmates – I'll frolic with both small and large dogs. My all-time favorite game is a good old-fashioned round of chase, whether I'm the chaser or the one being pursued. Since I've still got a youthful spirit, I need to burn off some of that energy with activities and walks. Playing fetch is another highlight of my day. I like to pretend I'm not going to give the toy back, just to psych out my humans, but don't worry, I eventually return it.

If my family's in a relaxed mood, I'm more than happy to lounge and nap. At night, I get the privilege of moving around the house, but only because my foster mom is with me. I typically start winding down around 9-10 pm and I'm a quiet, well-behaved guy until she gets up.

I'm known for my cheerful and goofy personality. I've got some basic obedience down, and I walk like a champ on a leash. My foster mom is teaching me the fine art of staying out of the kitchen since I have a passion for counter surfing. So far, I haven't scored any treasures, but I sure give it my all.

I'm eagerly looking forward to finding my forever home, and I hope there's at least one furry brother or sister to play with.
