Maverick

Meet Maverick, a white German Shepherd with a heart of gold, now available for adoption.  Maverick's story is one of resilience and hope. He was found living in a homeless encampment with a large tumor on his head, and fortunately, the rescue was alerted to his situation. After being vetted, the tumor was removed and found to be benign, which means he will recover fully.

Living on the streets took its toll on Maverick, and he had some other medical issues that needed attention. Fortunately, he received the needed care and is now recovering and thriving in his foster home. Maverick is a sweet and gentle soul who loves to be around people. He is currently living with his foster brother, a German Shepherd, and two cats. Although Maverick can coexist with another dog, he would probably be more confident and enjoy being the only dog.

Maverick likes car rides and enjoys going on walks and is well-behaved on a leash. He is crate-trained and sleeps and eats in his crate. One of his favorite activities is stealing dog toys from the toy basket and distributing them all over the backyard. He loves belly rubs the best!

Maverick is looking for a forever home where he can receive the love and care he deserves. He is a loyal companion who will be a great addition to any family.
