Gabby

Hi! My name is Gabby and I’m 2 years old, even though I look like a puppy. If you enjoy the German Shepherd breed, but aren’t sure about adopting a large dog, then I’m the one for you! Don’t be fooled though- I may be tiny, but I’m mighty.

I’m a very sweet and loyal girl that loves meeting new people and dogs. I like to jump up on people and give them lots of kisses, but my foster mom knows that not everyone likes that so we’re working on proper greeting. I haven’t met any kids yet and the only cats I've met are strays, which I will chase if they run. 

I’m food and toy motivated, so I’m easy to train. I know a few things, like “sit”, “lay down”, "kennel" and I come when called. I’m housebroken and I don’t mind being in my crate, which is where I sleep at night. I’m still learning what’s ok to chew on and what’s not ok, so I can’t be trusted to wander the house freely yet. If you tell me “no”, I understand that I should stop what I’m doing. I can be left in my crate for awhile without any potty accidents. Since I am a German Shepherd, I need lots of stimulation… otherwise I get antsy! I like to go on walks, even though I’m not the best walker. I don’t pull, but I think walking in a straight line is boring, so I’ll keep you on your toes! My foster mom takes me on bike rides and I like to run next to her. I’m also really good with car rides. I'm very active and love playing with toys- I will happily chase all the balls you can throw! I also love to roughhouse with my foster sister and roll around in the grass. Just don't let me find any mud or else you'll be cleaning it off my face!

I enjoy being around with my foster family, especially when my foster mom puts on TV for me to watch. I like watching dog competitions and squirrels running around! I’m very affectionate and loving, and I absolutely love belly rubs.

I might be small, but I have a big heart and an even bigger personality. They say good things come in small packages, so here I am! I’d love to meet you and give you lots of kisses.
