Hi there, I’m Elijah—a wise, gentle old soul with a heart full of love and a little gray on my muzzle to prove it. I’ve known what it’s like to have a family, but after my beloved person passed away, I found myself searching for a new place to call home.

Even with all the changes, my spirit’s still sweet and steady. I adore people and find comfort just being near you—whether we’re going for a slow stroll or just relaxing together on the couch. I’ve got a perfect mix of playfulness and calm. I might still toss around a toy here and there, but truth be told, I’m just as happy to lie at your feet and enjoy your company.

At my age, I’ve learned to appreciate the quiet things in life. I get along with other dogs when introductions are done thoughtfully, and I’m also great with cats. I’m hoping to find a home that sees the value in a dog who’s been around the block and still has so much love to give.
