Abigail

Hi! I'm Abigail, the lively rescue dog with a lot of spirit! I was a stray that was brought into a local shelter and the nice people at GHGSDR took a chance on me.

I'm working on being house trained, but you'll want to keep a close eye on me to avoid any accidents. At home, I'm the boss –my foster brother Teddy (who is also available for adoption) can vouch for that! So, if you're thinking of adding another bossy female to the mix, I'd advise against it.

I've seen a few cats at my foster home and even though they pique my curiosity, I'm not super excited about them. However, I haven't seen them run around yet so I'm not sure how I would react. I've got tons of energy, so if you have kids, make sure they can keep up with me. I'm crate trained and trustworthy when left alone in my crate- I can handle up to 7 hours on my own without a problem! However, when left alone outside of the crate... well, I've had a mixed experience with a few accidents here and there.

When it comes to walks, I'm already a pretty easy walker. There's still some room for improvement, but I'm getting there! As far as car rides go, I've only been in a car once when my foster mom brought me home, and I was in a crate, which wasn't too bad.

I'm not into toys, but I love playing with Teddy, my four-legged companion. And when it comes to training, just dangle some tasty treats in front of me, and I'm all ears. I've mastered the sit command, and I'm always eager to learn more.

My activity level is through the roof – I'm super high energy! So, if you're ready for a dynamic companion, I'm your girl, ready to bring a bundle of joy and energy to your life!
