Hello there, my name is Trent.  I love humans, and I have a special place in my heart for the human that takes care of me, pets me, and gives me treats.  I really want to be your furever GSD woofer!  I love spending time with my people.  I really want to go on car rides with you, go for walks with you, and spend lots of time together.

I have very soft hair on my head.  You'd think that I use hair conditioner.  I love to be petted, and I know you will enjoy petting my head, so we'll both be happy!  I am a GSD with the regular double coat, but my foster said I seem to shed less than the average German Shepherd.

I have a very mellow personality towards humans.  If you welcome people into your home, than so do I.  I like older children, and my foster thinks that children over the age of 12 will be the best age in my new family.  I am ready to give my heart 100% to the family that loves me, and enjoys having me as their new best friend.

I get along fine with other big dogs, as long as you give us time to be introduced and work out our relationship.  My foster can explain how to help introduce me to other large dogs, and how he successfully helped me find my place in his pack of three GSDs. Now we are all good friends!
I used to be very fearful of other male dogs, but now I am good if you are good around them.  My experience now is that other dogs are OK as long as you don’t let any aggressive dogs around me, and that will make me feel safe with you. I would be happy being your only GSD, or if there is another dog in my size range, who wants to be my sibling, that would be great. I cannot go to a home with small dogs or cats.

I am very good about protecting your property.  I will walk and patrol the fence line of your backyard, and if any strangers are messing around (or squirrels or cats or other small animals), I will bark to let you know that someone we don’t know is there.

A special consideration about me is that while I am super human friendly, my breeding has created a very strong prey drive in me.  It is unlikely that this will ever be trained out of me because it is in my DNA.  If cats, small dogs, squirrels, or any small animals enter our yard uninvited, I will chase them out and they better not come back.

My foster has worked closely with me and knows me very, very well. This is great for both you and me, because my foster is willing to help us get to know each other, and become good friends. I have so much love to give, and I want to find my furever home where the humans want to experience my deep love and loyalty for the people who care for me.
