Meet Finn! Finn is a beautiful, 2-year-old sable German Shepherd Dog with a really sweet and playful personality. He is very affectionate, and will often come over and lay his head in his foster mom's lap so he can be petted and have his ears scratched. Finn didn't have such a great start in life. He was seized as a cruelty and neglect case by the HSPCA (Animal Cops Houston). Finn spent his entire life outdoors tied to a tree. When he was found, Finn was starved, filthy, filled with tape worms, and had open bleeding sores from mange. He weighed only 47 pounds, and was literally skin and bones. Fortunately, a kind hearted lady helped us bring Finn into our program, and he has been blossoming ever since.
Finn has had all of his medical treatment, and is now in a loving foster home. He plays very well with his foster brother and sister. He bumps them gently with his nose and play bows, as if to say, "Game on, chase me, chase me!" He is getting three square meals a day, and gobbles down his food with gusto. Finn is now at his ideal weight of 67 pounds, and will take treats very gently from his foster mom's hand. His beautiful "wolfie" sable coat is coming back in nicely, and will soon be thick and luxurious again. He is crate trained and knows the "sit" command. This handsome young boy just needs someone to love him. Could you open your heart and your home to a dog who truly deserves a new start in life? Finn won't last long, so please get your application in today. He would love to meet you!
