Diamond is a good-sized girl who is strong and needs a firm or experienced handler. Quite attractive and confident, she is a prime female German Shepherd Dog. She is very affectionate and loves to cuddle. She crates beautifully and walks fairly well on a leash once over the initial excitement. She is not distracted easily and shows little interest in anything when on a walk. But she has periods of high energy where she can be destructive and mouthy. She is undeterred by sounds and typical distraction tactics. You will wear out before she does. In her foster home, a time out in her crate has worked the best. She uses a dog door in her foster home and learned it very quickly, making her a bright dog. She is housetrained, rides well in a car and knows sit. She is not food or treat motivated. Diamond will require training along with love. She will do best in a home where she has good boundaries and an assured leader.
