Charlie Girl is just the sweetest thing ever. She is super gentle and oh so eager to get your love. While Charlie is sweet, she needs a home that will help her learn to trust again. Charlie is working so hard to learn how us humans work. Charlie will need time and patience to allow her to learn on her owe that a true family should not cause pain. We have had Charlie for about a month, in the beginning we had to walk Charlie on a leash in our own backyard because if we took her off we knew it would take time to catch her because she was that uncomfortable around humans. We are now to the point that we can let her off a leash and she will come to us. She has come a long way, but you can tell she is working hard to trust us. When going out for walks, she does really well on a leash. We have learned she loves loves loves getting brushed. She is not food motivated but does respond better to human food. We don’t think she has any training but we have made good progress on house training. She is a counter surfer but of course only does it when nobody is around. She is learning sit, but training is still a challenge because her confidence is so low. She will play for brief periods of time but because she is older it doesn’t take much to wear her out. She is a super easy house guest. Somedays, she still just wants to go lie down in the most remote corner of the garage or yard, I think that is just how she relaxes (she likes to be alone at times). Charlie is super quiet and fairly independent for now. We think Charlies personality will continue to grow and change over time but without a doubt we think her sweetness will remain and always be one of her biggest qualities.
