Special Considerations for Adoption:
Are you looking for a dog with beauty, charm and "personality plus"? Well, look no further. I am quite the package, if I do say so myself. From my pictures, you can see my beauty and the never ending sparkle in my eyes. My foster mom just loves looking at my face and she says my eyes tell so much about me. I am a very, very happy girl and will put a smile on your face no matter what kind of day you are having.
You will find I have a social butterfly type of personality. I absolutely LOVE being around people and there isn't a single person who hasn't fallen under my spell of happiness. If there is playing going on anywhere in the house, you can bet I will be one of the first to join in the fun. And, "boy howdy", do I enjoy having FUN. Running and playing are great forms of exercise and, at my young age, it really makes me feel wonderful. At my foster home there are 4 other GSD's here and I get along with all of them quite well. They love to play with me. There's a cat who lives here too, but I don't pay him much attention. I'm somewhat curious of him, but when I met him face to face, he whapped me a couple times and that made me realize not every animal immediately falls in love with me. If you have a cat, I can probably co-habitate but, during the first couple weeks, I may need you to supervise our interactions until our boundaries are established.
I'm told my house manners are pretty good. My foster mom saysshe could tell the people who used to own me didn't work at all on obedience training, or teaching me much of anything. After all, when I was found as a stray I was loaded with fleas and had heartworms. I guess they were more interested in having a beauty like me in their back yard than teaching me how to be a good companion. But, that's all in my past and my foster mom says I am a very, very good pupil. I have a very soft nature and LOVE to please my people, so I understand correction. I also enjoy treats, so teaching me "right from wrong" is not hard. I just need someone who will invest the time in me because I still have somewhat of a "puppy brain" and sometimes I forget stuff. You will be happy to know I am crate trained so, when you are gone, you don't have to worry about me getting into any mischief. I am happy to settle down in my crate with a bone and/or Kong filled with peanut butter to keep me occupied until you return.
So, what do you think? Would you like to meet me and allow me to cast my "happy spell" on you? If so, please complete an application and include my name. I'm looking forward to a lifetime of happiness with you.
