Special Considerations for Adoption: Special Considerations for Adoption:
Note from Murphy's foster mom: These photos are Murphy's "before" photos. They do not do him justice. He is getting prettier each day as his condition improves. New photos will be put up very soon.
Hi, My name is Murphy,
And I am a 7 month old black and silver German Shepherd (GSD). When I came into the group, I was not in good condition. I had mange and was very underweight. However, my guardian angels at GHGSDR quickly got me to a hospital where my skin condition was treated, I was given all my shots, neutered!!!! and provided lots of food and love. I am now thrilled to announce that I am ready to find my forever home. Currently I am in my foster home living with 2 female GSDs and 3 cats. YES! I’M GOOD WITH CATS! Actually I would love to run after them but my foster mom says “no” and that’s the end of it. I really just wanted to play with them anyway. I get along well with my GSD siblings and I know I would get a long great with children. I’m a very sweet boy without a mean bone in my body. Of course as I grow larger, I will be a little more boisterous so you will always need to be mindful of small children around me.
I think I was mistreated or as a minimum neglected when I was younger because I can be kind of shy and timid at first. However, I really want to be happy and affectionate and with a little bit of confidence building I turn into a love bug. I tend to be the kind of GSD that focuses on my human. Where my human is, that’s where I want to be. For instance, last night I was steadfast in the kitchen helping my foster mom make cookies and at night I slept right at the foot of her bed.
If you are looking for that classic GSD, who is sweet as can be, to grow into your loyal, life-long companion, come visit me. I know you will be glad you did.
P.S. I'm housbroken too!
