Special Considerations for Adoption: Currently Cole is not comfortable around young children. He would be best in a home with teenagers, empty-nesters or single adults.
my name is Cole I am a 5 month old, mostly black GSD, and I am just as cute as can be. I am a really, really good boy according to my foster mom. Even though I am still quite young, I do not have any bad behaviors. All that chewing and digging, marking and running away are for other dogs, not me! I just like to play with my toys and I am adorable when I do. I'm clumsy and joyful. I love to jump and bounce on them; run around with them, toss them in the air and then drop them at your feet. You'll have a blast watching me, as I entertain myself. You might even want to join me.
In additon to being just plain adorable, I am also smart as a whip. I'm already housebroken, I know how to sit, I am crate trained and my foster mom and dad are working on teaching me to come. That's a hard one, because when you are a puppy sometimes you just don't want to come. But I know I'll figure it out sooner or later because I am so sweet and loving that the attention I get when I do obey makes it all worthwhile.
Also, you need to know that as a baby I was not socialized very well, so I am very uncertain of people at first. I'm still learning that there's a big world out there with other people that want to be my friend, so at first I am very uncertain and intimidated. However once I've determined that you are my friend, I'm very affectionate and yours for life. Because of this background, I am not comfortable around small, active children. Being the smart and young GSD that I am, I am sure I could overcome this but I really do best with teenagers and adults. I do love to play with other big dogs and a GSD sibling would be to die for!
So if you are looking for five month old GSD that is still all puppy and are willing to spend the additional time to bring out the best in me, come meet me. We could be a match made in heaven!
