2013

Hi! My name is Chanel and even though my name is sophisticated, I am an active girl who likes to go for walks, play soccer and fetch (with my special ball) and play with the other two GSD’s at my foster home. When we’re not outside doing something, I like hanging out with my foster mom, the other dogs and even the cat. I really like being hugged and petted and in return I give really nice, gentle kisses and sometimes a little nose nibble. When my foster mom is at the computer, I curl up under the desk and put my head on her foot. She seems to like that. I am working on my obedience training and am doing pretty well especially when a treat or my ball is involved! My old family gave me up due to allergies (I’m not sure what those are) and my first week or so in rescue was hard and really shook my confidence. I wanted to go home and couldn’t figure out what I was supposed to do to fit in. I got kind of nervous and shy. I am feeling much better now. My foster mom and dog and cat friends showed me what to do and I rose to the occasion. I really want to fit in and make them all happy. The cat is still kind of strange but they keep telling me that that is normal.

Note from her foster mom: Chanel is a sweet, gentle and smart girl. Loud noises and voices can bring out her timid side especially when she is in an unfamiliar setting or with unfamiliar people. Once she is comfortable, she is a very happy-go-lucky girl who wants to do everything and will boldly go anywhere with her person.
