Teddy

Hi there, I'm Teddy! I'm a sweet and handsome 5 year old GSD with your classic black and tan coat and I'm ready to meet my furever family!

I'm proud to say I'm housebroken and get along with other dogs just fine, even when they're confident and unleashed. I once met a Yorkshire terrier, and I greeted him gently. I love playing with my foster sister Abigail, who is also available for adoption! 

I have a special fondness for cats. Whenever we visit the 'cat room' in my foster home, I can barely contain my excitement, and I might even let out a few barks. As for kids, I might not be the best match for them. I've had a tough past, and I need someone who can provide clear and consistent rules for me. In uncomfortable situations, I'll give a subtle side-eye as a warning, and if the bother continues, I'll growl and show my teeth. It's just my way of saying, "Please stop."

I'm crate trained and trustworthy out of the crate, but I can get quite excited when the gardener or the pool guy shows up, or when a delivery is expected. I'm good to be home alone for about 7 to 8 hours a day, but I need my daily walks – at least 1.5 hours in total.

I'm a pro at walking on a leash and riding in the car, although I might want to sneak up to the front seat if the leash is too long. I prefer to sleep outside the crate because I'm house trained.

When it comes to playtime, I absolutely love toys, and I'm very treat-motivated. I know basic commands like sit, down, and stay, and my activity level is medium. So, if you're looking for a loyal and well-behaved companion, I'm your guy!
