Hey y’all!  I’m Gino and besides being a handsome, sweet boy, I am also ready for my forever home!  I am a good boy, and have learned lots of things in my wonderful foster home.  I get along great with kids, and other dogs.  I am learning to trust new people; because I am an introvert anyway, and not every person I have met has been kind and compassionate, I take my time getting to know a new person.  I really want to get a sense of you, before I show you how loving and loyal I am.

My foster mom calls me quirky – I guess she means funny cause she always smiles and laughs with (or at) me.  I love to play ball, cuddle while we watch tv, and lay around in the yard with the family.  I love going for car rides, but being in a crowd of people or going to Home Depot with you is just not my cup of tea.  Too many people just walking up to pet me without me getting a chance to get a good smell makes me nervous.  I am okay at home till you get back.

Mom is hoping that the family for me is not only patient enough to let me get settled in really well, but won’t mind the fact that I eat prescription food to help with my slightly sensitive tummy.  It may have been all the less than desirable “food” I ate while trying to survive the Houston streets as a stray.  My health declined out there – I got both hook and heart worms, but I have been through treatment, and I am getting stronger every day.

I sure hope mom is right that someone will see me for the dog I am today, help me to continue to work through my fears and embrace my quirks.  I promise it will be worth it; once we bond, I will pay you back with loyalty and love 10 fold.
