Berke has an incredibly calm and sweet temperament. He comes when called, knows basic commands like sit and down, walks well on a leash, and rides well in the car. He is house broken and crate trained, but wants to be as close to his people as possible. He will make an excellent companion for his new family especially if they love the idea of a 90 lb. lap dog. Berke is great with kids (including the high-energy 4-year-old twins he has spent time with) and seems to get along well with other dogs, although he currently lives in a single-dog home. While he did focus on a kitten, he did not pull or lunge for it, so we think he might get along with a relaxed cat. Sadly, he has zero ball or toy interest, and has no idea what to do when presented with a toy. We suspect he never had these things in his last home, and only knows how to play with other dogs. With patience and practice, he might develop an interest. Berke will make a wonderful companion and best friend. He would love to meet you and let you see for yourself what a great dog he is.
