GHGSDR Guardian Sponsorship Program

GHGSDR is excited to announce a program that will allow individuals, families, and businesses to sponsor one of the many dogs who come into our group for rehabilitation and adoption into their forever home. The Guardian Sponsorship Program is a financial contribution that helps with the life-saving medical treatment, expenses, and care that are required to save these wonderful dogs and place them in the perfect forever home.

Please consider joining the GHGSDR Guardian Sponsorship Program. Your contributions will not only save lives, but also bring joy and happiness to GSDs like Snow and Bella who have previously known nothing but pain, suffering, and loneliness. Special Considerations for Adoption:

My name is Sherlock. I am a really smart puppy (~14wks). I wound up at the shelter and I really wanted out. This person came to rescue German Shepherd Dogs so I held my ears up as high as I could and looked really, really cute. I think I’m a German Shepherd Dog, ah and a Black Mouth Cur  mix,.  Yeah, that’s right, I’m a GSD/BMC .

Anyway, here’s what I found out about BMC’s: Black Mouth Curs are tough, resilient working and hunting dogs.Fearless and relentless in the wild, Black Mouth Curs happen to be very sensitive and gentle with people: Around children, they tend to tone-down the play and become more mild and protective. They are outgoing, affectionate and very protective of familymembers. Black Mouth Curs are smart and curious canines.

And when I grow up, I’m gonna be just like that. Now I'm learning not to pee in the house. UPDATE: I did it! I learned not to pee in the house! I’m working on walking on a leash and basic commands. Mostly, I play and get kisses.

Someone came along and said I look like an Anatolian Shepherd. Wow, that would be cool too, cool being an Anatolian Shepherd/Black Mouth Cur and uh, GSD mix.

If you want an awesome fur kid, adopt me!

NOTE: Sherlock will be ready to adopt on March 3, 2012.
