GHGSDR Guardian Sponsorship Program

GHGSDR is excited to announce a program that will allow individuals, families, and businesses to sponsor one of the many dogs who come into our group for rehabilitation and adoption into their forever home. The Guardian Sponsorship Program is a financial contribution that helps with the life-saving medical treatment, expenses, and care that are required to save these wonderful dogs and place them in the perfect forever home.

Please consider joining the GHGSDR Guardian Sponsorship Program. Your contributions will not only save lives, but also bring joy and happiness to GSDs like Snow and Bella who have previously known nothing but pain, suffering, and loneliness. Special Considerations for Adoption:

Lola has to be introduced to other dogs carefully.

I know you are reading this because you saw my pretty pictures (aw, shucks, thanks). I am strikingly gorgeous with my distinguished face markings to go with my shiny black coat and luxurious tail. As much as I enjoy being admired, I love to play most of all. I listen with intense focus, looking right into your eyes when you talk to me. If there is any action that's where I like to be as I am an outgoing and friendly girl who would love to run or do obedience work. Walking on a leash is not my best behavior...ahem, just being honest. Humans are to be obeyed - got it! I am submissive to people. I think the command "down" means to flop onto my back for a belly rub, isn't that right? I stop whatever I am doing immediately if you tell me to. I don't like crowds of other dogs, however, and feel overwhelmed by assertive behavior from other dogs who might try to boss me. At some point I decided the best defense is a good offense, so you have to be careful with me around dogs I don't know because I am very strong and athletic. I think I would like to live with another dog, especially a male who likes to play, but you will need to help me at first with all the rules for having a sibling. I want to learn, so I will get there quickly with your help. I would also be happy as an only dog if I get attention and exercise.
